Mama Thembeka

Mama Thembeka is grandmother of Athenkosi, Jonas and Athenkosi Jnr.

Athenkosi and Jonas are 17 years of age and live with their grandmother because his mother passed away. This is a very poor family they live on a pension grant of their grandmother there are five of them and there is no other source of income. Athenkosi and Jonas attend a school in Kwaxakhele, they both enjoy studying math’s English and technology. They attend Masibambane high school. Athenkosi also loves to study tourism and business studies and hopes to become a business man when he leaves school.

Athenkosi Jnr is studying business studies at school and loves to practice soccer. He is helpful in the home and would like to work for the rail company Transnet and to develop a skills programme for the youth to get them off the streets.

Mama Thembeka attends a gogo Trust soup cell for prayer and bible study. She says this helps her to grow in maturity in the Lord and give her renewed hope and strength.

Sponsorship through Julian’s Children would relieve a lot of stress in the home and enable Athenkosi, Jonas and Athenkosi Jnr to remain in education.
